Valentine’s Day

13 Feb
Here is something cute that student said this morning:

When I reached the hall for silent reading, student came up to me excitedly.
She told me that tomorrow was a special day.
So I asked her, what was the special day all about.
She replied “It’s Valentine’s Day!”
And she continued, “Your husband must wish u, Ms Mohana.”
I smiled and asked her, “What else should he do?”
She thought for awhile and replied “He must buy u chocolates, flowers and a card.”
I couldn’t help but laugh.. :))

When I reached the class, I did a mini lesson on Valentine’s day and told my students that valentines day is for all their loved ones (family, friends and even teachers.) Some of them replied that they will make a card for their parents.. Student said she will make me a card.

Feeling blessed and loved..
Here’s wishing u a great Valentine’s day too..

‘Foundation’ Units of Measurement

Maths Teacher has been reminding students to write the Standard Units of Measurement for their answers.

As Teacher walked around and saw a student wrote 10 muffins in the space for answer, she said, “Muffin is not a Standard Unit. You need not write that down in the answer.”

Then the student replied, “Oh, it is Foundation.”

Music and Movement Class

During music & movement class, we taught the kids a dance which requires them to move their hands up & down repeatedly.

Teacher: Up, down, up, down, up…. So where are your hands now?
Student (very excitedly held out his hand): My hands are here!
Teacher: I mean up or down…
Student: Ohhh. *blush*

Pledge

“I want to prove that special needs pupils can be as outstanding as any mainstream pupil. For Singapore (or even in school), we can only truly be united if people in all sectors are included in making important decisions.

The pledge will not just preach about ‘regardless of race or religion’, but also pupils of special needs or disabilities.”
