After a school outing to the “Health Zone” at SGH, I asked my then 6-year-old daughter where she went in the morning and what she learnt, in order for her to practise her conversation skills.

Her reply, ” I went to Hell zone. we learn all about Hell.”

We were learning about famous cities and the interesting facts associated with each city.

When I showed a slide of Rome, Italy…I turned to one student and said “Have you heard the saying – Rome was not built in a day?”

My student paused for a moment and replied,” Why?,,,,,,,, Did they built it in the night?”

Student: (offers sweet to schoolmates and teachers)

Teacher: Wow, you have so many different types of sweets to share everyday! Take care of your teeth though… don’t eat too many sweets, all right?

Student: You take care too. Don’t drink too much Kopi-O.

Teacher: (surprised) Really?

Student: Your teeth are yellow.
